I have been a surrogate to 5 baby girls. 5 singletons and 4 families. The oldest is 8 years old and the youngest is 2. Four of the five are in Europe. I began my journey helping families around 2002-2003 with donating my eggs. I was drawn to helping families since my son was conceived through artificial insemination. Although I got older, I still wanted to help but had passed the age of donating eggs. Around that same time, my sister had an unexpected hysterectomy at the age of 34. She was about to get remarried and wanted more children with her soon to be husband. That is the first time I truly knew I wanted to carry a baby for someone wanting a family so desperately. My sister chose not to have more children but that sent me on a mission to find an agency so I could help a family’s dream to have children. My first 2 journeys were with a different agency. In 2014, I was introduced to Zara through the internet and the rest is history!! I have been so blessed to work with amazing, caring, and compassionate people.
I have 5 children of my own and work full time as a restaurant manager. My children range in age from 27-11. Four of the five are still at home. Juggling the home school and 50 hour work weeks has been a challenge. My husband is retired military, completing 2 tours overseas. We love to travel and have been to Europe to see 3 of the surrogate girls! Last spring we brought our youngest 2 with us on a trip of a lifetime to Barcelona and Paris.
