Breshay is an amazing surrogate that delivered an adorable baby girl for our intended parents in May 2026.
Q: What led you to become a Surrogate?
What led me to become a surrogate is that I enjoy being pregnant also, I have had a four children of my own and I couldn’t imagine not being able to have my own child. I believe God wanted me to do this. This is my way of giving back Being a help for someone special I believe every woman or man deserves to be a mother or father if their heart desires to be.
Q. Who was the most significant support person throughout your journey?
My husband was with me through it all he was amazing!
Q. What made you decide to choose your Intended Parents?
I chose my parents because I felt that they were very genuine, caring people and my husband and I connected with them.
Q. What are some of the highlights of your journey?
I started my journey in November of 23. It was a rough beginning. Only because going to my screening to make sure everything was okay. For my Pap smear which we are supposed to do yearly, I discovered abnormal cell those abnormal cells had to be scraped off of my cervix so that caused a delay in my surrogacy journey. I believe that I was called to be a surrogate or a gestational carrier. I did not give up I kept going. I was discouraged, but I knew that if I kept going, God would allow this to happen. I didn’t give up because I knew that I was chosen to do this 2025 of October is when I found my intended parents we instantly connected. Every injection that I had to take was worth seeing my intended parents smile when they met their baby girl. This was a beautiful journey I couldn’t have asked for it to be any different.
Q. Do you have advice for women who are interested in becoming a gestational surrogate?
For any woman looking to be a gestational carrier, I would say don’t give up. It may take time, but as long as you’re in it to see that intended Parent smile, or to help start a family, you will feel blessed to be able to do it. You got this you are an angel and God is with you.
Q. How do you feel about your experience working with Family Source Consultants?
I believe that Family Source is doing an amazing thing bringing dreams to life. I have enjoyed having their support and they were with me every step of the way, every question I had was answered and if my case manager was not available, I had Denise, our Surrogate Support Manager. She was amazing as well at answering all my questions or concerns.
Q. What would you like other people to know about surrogacy?
I would like everyone to know that surrogacy is beautiful. It is a way to create a life, and I recommend it to anyone.
Q. What did you find was the biggest misconception people had about surrogacy?
The biggest misconception people have about surrogacy is thinking that the baby belongs to that gestational carrier. Also, I hear a lot of people saying that it will be hard to give the baby up well I don’t believe that is true because it is not your baby to just give up. It’s a beautiful family that you have helped create.
Q. What was the funniest/strangest/most common question you were asked and how did you answer?
As a gestational carrier when people would say congratulations to you. What are you having? I would say a girl, but it’s not mine and that would spark a conversation.
Q. How has becoming a surrogate impacted your life?
Become an a gestational carrier has impacted my life in a great way I feel in a way accomplished
Q. How did you prepare yourself for separating from the baby after birth?
How did I prepare myself from separating from the baby? My honest answer is I didn’t because I knew she was not mine.
Q. Was this pregnancy different than your other pregnancies? If so, how?
Yes, this pregnancy was different from my pregnancies because she did tear me and also I was induced and it was the longest pregnancy I have ever had!
Q. What would you like someone who is considering working with a surrogate to know?
I would like them to know that be patient with them communicate with them love them in your own way. Be there for them as much as you can and I believe that that surrogate would be there for you as well.
