Denise Conner

Surrogacy Support Manager

After a long struggle with infertility, Denise turned to FSC to assist in building her family. Denise was aware of other agency choices, but the ability for her and her husband to meet their potential donor with the guidance of the agency made Denise feel drawn to Family Source Consultants.

Aside from having her own daughters, Denise felt that nothing made her feel more complete than helping another couple to make their parenthood dreams come true through Surrogacy.

As the Surrogate Support Group Manager, Denise provides ongoing support to the surrogates in our program. Gail Zarbin, LCSW

Clinical Social Worker

Gail Zarbin earned a Master of Social Work from George Williams College and has been in practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over twenty years counseling individuals, couples, and children to help them with life’s transitions and adjustments.

Gail counsels women, men, and couples going through the challenges of infertility to help them with the emotional ups and downs of family planning choices and decisions. Gail administers the psychological assessment for women interested in being gestational surrogates or egg donors to be able to move forward in third party reproductive arrangements. Intended Parents often need support to help them with their feelings and questions to decide how to create their family. While most causes of infertility are physical, a cycle develops where stress affects infertility and infertility concerns cause emotional distress. Women and men usually have different emotional reactions. The infertility journey and family planning choices can challenge the ability for couples to stay connected. She offers counseling to provide support and hope during this uncertain time to help couples communicate with more empathy and be able to decide how they want to move forward.

Gail is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the American Fertility Association, and RESOLVE.

Candice Bolek

Client Relations Manager

Candice brings five years of third-party reproduction experience to FSC. She began in the field of egg donation as a Case Manager, working her way up to Program Director. Candice thoroughly enjoyed providing guidance to her team, building relationships with reproductive medicine professionals, and supporting intended parents on their fertility journeys. She prides herself on her customer service skills and attention to detail, offering an empathetic ear and a personalized approach to each recipient parent’s needs. It is not lost on her that this career path involves great responsibility and a rare opportunity – to help people’s dreams come true.

As for her own dreams to have children, Candice froze her eggs several years ago through a fertility clinic she worked closely with at her previous agency. Like many intended mothers, she has been through the medical testing, hormone injections, and egg retrieval procedure involved in the IVF process. Candice understands all too well what it means to be a woman past her reproductive prime and the dilemma facing anyone who has yet to find that special someone with whom to start a family.

Candice was born outside of Chicago and is proud to share Midwest roots with some of her FSC teammates. She was raised in Kentucky, and after moving to Pennsylvania in her teens, she eventually graduated from Penn State University, where she majored in Speech Communication. Candice has called California home for 20 years, and she is looking forward to meeting and assisting West Coast intended parents in her role as Client Relations Manager.

As soon as she was able to, she applied to become a surrogate with FSC and gave birth to a baby boy in January of 2014. Kim and her husband both enjoyed the experience so much that she did two additional surrogacies with FSC, giving birth to a little girl in March of 2017 and then twins (a boy and girl) in December of 2019. Kim is delighted that she can now continue her journey in helping couples realize their family dreams by joining the team here at FSC.
