The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, processing, and maintaining medical records for gestational surrogates. The Medical Records Specialist must always maintain and protect the gestational surrogates’ right to privacy by ensuring that only authorized individuals have access to the patient’s medical information and that all releases of information follow the request, authorization, company policy, and HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidentiality and security with all confidential information
  • Receive and process requests for surrogate health records and information in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Maintain working knowledge of internal database and CRM program
  • Responsible for safeguarding surrogate records and ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards
  • Prepare new files, gather documents and information from paper sources and/or electronic health record
  • Ensures medical records are assembled in standard order and are accurate and complete
  • Creates digital images of paperwork to be stored in the electronic CRM system
  • Answering of inbound/outbound telephone calls

We are currently seeking a remote, full-time, Licensed Mental Health Professional to facilitate mental health evaluations for gestational surrogates/egg donors, lead monthly support groups, facilitate match meetings between intended parents/gestational surrogates, and provide individual support to intended parents during the matching process. Applicant must be self-motivated, compassionate, resourceful and diplomatic. Third party reproduction/IVF experience, either personal or professional is preferred. Applicant must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines and be available for occasional weekends and after hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Support intended parents during the surrogacy matching process.
  • Provide support group meetings for gestational surrogates and intended parents.
  • Facilitate match meetings between surrogates and intended parents.
  • Practice within the highest ethics and standards, maintaining confidentiality of client and surrogate, abiding by applicable confidentiality standards and security policies.
  • Facilitate mental health evaluations for surrogates and egg donors.
  • Interpret MMPI/PAI results, providing a thorough written report.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
