Roxanne is an amazing surrogate who delivered twins for a family in June 2023.
Q: What led you to become a Surrogate?
I wanted to help a couple start their family.
Q. Who was the most significant support person throughout your journey?
My husband, Sean, and sister, Jamie.
Q. What made you decide to choose your Intended Parents?
While picking the intended parents, I felt their story was heartwarming and hit close to home with me.
Q. What are some of the highlights of your journey?
Some highlights of my journey are: the joy of seeing the babies on the ultrasound, and my daughter loving the babies as they moved and being able to feel them. The best highlight was when it was time to have the babies and seeing the intended mother see her babies for the first time. That was an amazing moment for me.
Q. Do you have advice for women who are interested in becoming a gestational surrogate?
If you’re interested in becoming a gestational surrogate, do the research and do it. Make sure you have a very good support system.
Q. How do you feel about your experience working with Family Source Consultants?
I enjoyed my experience with FSC. I’m looking forward to doing it again.
Q. What did you find was the biggest misconception people had about surrogacy?
Some people do not understand how surrogacy works, so having to explain how it works was a delight.
Q. What would you like other people to know about surrogacy?
It is an amazing thing to do. A great gift for a family.
Q. How has becoming a surrogate impacted your life?
A lot of people say it is an amazing, unselfish thing that I have done for another couple. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
