As we live in Europe, we were looking for professionalism. FSC did not disappoint us, as they were always present when needed and of good advice! – FSC Parents L&J

L&J first heard about surrogacy through a documentary on television. They started researching online and found FSC. They have been blessed with two daughters, the first in 2016, the second in 2020, and they are currently starting out on their third surrogacy journey!

What were you looking for in a surrogate?

Someone serious and active who will share with us details of the pregnancy, but with realistic expectations also in terms of involvement from us, as we are an ocean apart.

How did you know that your surrogate was the one for you?

It was a match from the beginning. We like the way she is and acts: genuine and funny.

How did you tell friends and family and how did they react?

We explained the whole process to them, and all our family members were happy for us and were excited to see the journey completed.

What was your relationship like with your surrogate? Was it different than you expected? What is it like now?

We live 10,000 miles away, so we were chatting every day by messenger. Then we met when we came to the US for the ultrasounds. She invited us to her house for a weekend, and we had a really nice time with her family and siblings. We didn’t have expectations as it was our first time, and we now consider Penny as part of our family. Even some years after the birth, we are still in contact, and we will meet again in the future, for sure.

Do you have any advice for intended parents who are just starting out?

To find someone with a nice connection, easy to talk to, direct and genuine, and be sure to have the same expectations/philosophy.
