Congratulations on your fifth donation!  Since you are such an experienced donor, do you have any advice for women who are just beginning the egg donation process?

When I first donated, it was such a special experience. There is excitement that is unique to each individual donation, and the feeling you get from the first donation is what sets the bar for donations to come. There is so much to be learned from the egg donation process, so sit back, don’t stress, and go with the flow. Take notes along the way or even keep an egg journal!

Who was your most significant support person(s) throughout your journey?

My fiancé has, by far, been my most significant support person. He has been there for all travel and retrievals. He helps me do my injections and helps me walk that glorious wobble-walk in to the clinic on retrieval day.

What have been some highlights over the course of your five journeys?

I think the best highlight from my combined donations is knowing that there are real-time families raising children from my willingness to donate. There are people who donate blood and save lives, we donate eggs that create lives, and that alone makes every journey so worth it.

How has your life changed based on your decision to become an egg donor?

I believe our life experiences help us understand others’ struggles and appreciate what we have all the more. My life has changed in a sense that I don’t take my fertility for granted anymore. It’s truly an incredible thing that we do for struggling couples as egg donors!

Family Source Consultants has always been there to support me. I can’t imagine donating without the care and support that Claire and Jessica provided. Things were so easy and taken care of in advance. I can’t thank them enough for giving me the opportunity to help build families!
