#TeamFSC Surrogate Ambassadors come from a variety of backgrounds and walks of life—but they all have one thing in common—they have helped people build their families via surrogacy. The amazing women you’re about to meet make up FSC’s growing Ambassador team. They love sharing about their journeys with surrogacy: What motivated them to become surrogates? What was their experience like? If they’ve been a surrogate more than once, why?

Have you ever been curious about becoming a surrogate? Have you ever wondered what it’s really like? You’ll be surprised and enlightened by the stories our ambassadors share with you.  Surrogates help people create families. They turn loving couples and individuals into loving parents. They bring new life into the world.  And our ambassadors are ready to mentor new surrogates for #TeamFSC.

“I’m Ashley, a wife and mom of three amazing kids. I first began exploring surrogacy in early 2017 while watching two acquaintances go through their journey. Their journeys sparked my interested so much because of the love I have for helping others but also because I have had amazing pregnancies and births. After research and much discussion with my husband we finally decided June of 2017 that this was something we were ready to pursue. My first journey went by quickly and flawlessly, delivering in October of 2018. Which then lead to my second journey not long after. Both of my journeys have been vastly different but equally amazing in their own special ways and my surrogate families will always have such a special place in my entire family’s hearts. Now I look forward to helping mentor other prospective surrogates as they start their journey.”

DeAnna

“I am DeAnna and I am the mother of two handsome boys, and we will soon be adding a little girl to our crazy bunch. My surrogacy journey started 10 years ago after watching my sister struggle with infertility for many years. She was blessed with twins after six failed IVF transfers. I found Fertility Centers of Illinois in a local parenting magazine and thought I would give it a try. I have now been through three journeys with Family Source Consultants and able to bless three families with children of their own. There is nothing that compares to the feeling of helping a couple build.”

Erica

“My name is Erica, I am married and have three children (ages 3, 5, 12 –all girls).

My journey to becoming a surrogate started back in 2016–2017 when I went with my (now) sister-in-law to her first surrogacy transfer. She then became pregnant with twins and delivered in August of 2017. Being by her side throughout the entire thing, watching the process unfold, really helped me understand what it meant, entailed, and how much joy it created. I wanted to experience this. I wanted to help someone have their own family.”

Jaime

“My name is Jaime and I’m from Central IL! I’m a wife, mother to two daughters, dog mom to a golden doodle, and a proud surrogate.  I’ve completed two journeys for two amazing couples! I had boy girl twins in March 2018 and a boy in December 2019.  Being a surrogate is one of the most rewarding experiences you’ll ever go through. It’s also exciting, emotional, tiring, but so worth it! Seeing the parents’ faces when you hand them their baby or babies is something you will remember for the rest of your life.”

Katherine

“My name is Katherine and I live in the Twin Cities (MN).  My husband Ben and I have been married for almost 13 years and we have three beautiful boys, Lucas who will be nine in August, and twins, Dylan & Bradley, who will be six in July.  I also LOVE being pregnant!  Our family is complete, but I had a strong desire to be a surrogate for many years.  As a member of a multiples group, you meet people from all walks of life who have traveled so many different (and difficult) paths to get their children.  My husband and I were incredibly lucky and my pregnancies were very smooth and uneventful.  It took some convincing of my husband, but he agreed to support me 100% as I started my journey through FSC.  My surrogacy journey was text-book.  Incredibly efficient, smooth, and wonderful.  I was matched with IPs from a different area of the country, but we created an amazing bond through visiting each other and chatting regularly.  I carried their beautiful baby boy to full term and he was perfect.  He is now four months old and happy as can be.  Helping to create this family was incredible.  It was everything I dreamed it would be.”

Liz

“I live in Miamisburg, Ohio with my husband, Todd, and our three boys, Noah, Owen, and Dylan. I was a gestational surrogate and gave birth to a sweet baby girl in June 2019. When I started my journey, I was worried I would be faced with a lot of negative opinions, and thankfully, I was wrong! Most people were extremely positive and talked about what a selfless gift I was giving. But I believe surrogacy is just as much a gift for the surrogate as it is for the intended parents. My IF (intended father) showed me so much confidence and trust, knowing I would take care of his bundle of joy. And I got the front row seat to watch his dream come true when she was born! My journey began with our match and didn’t end at birth. We check in with each other and update each other regularly. My journey continues with an extended international family!”

Sue

“My name is Sue. I have been a surrogate to five baby girls. The oldest is eight years old and the youngest is two. Four of the five are in Europe. I began my journey helping families around 2002–2003 with donating my eggs. I was drawn to helping families since my son was conceived through artificial insemination.  Although I got older, I still wanted to help but had passed the age of donating eggs. Around that same time, my sister had an unexpected hysterectomy at the age of 34. She was about to get remarried and wanted more children with her soon to be husband. That is the first time I truly knew I wanted to carry a baby for someone wanting a family so desperately. My sister chose not to have more children but that sent me on a mission to find an agency so I could help a family’s dream to have children. My first two journeys were with a different agency. In 2014, I was introduced to Zara through the internet and the rest is history!! I have been so blessed to work with amazing, caring, and compassionate people”

Rebecca

“My name is Rebecca and I currently reside in Chandler, Arizona with my husband and three children.

My passion for surrogacy and egg donation started with a distant relative that struggled with infertility. She brought to light the heart and soul that goes into the anticipation and desire to be a parent. You see, having children came so easily for me considering both of my own pregnancies had been unplanned. I had heard about egg donation from a friend and decided to do my first donation in 2014. Since then, I have done five egg donations in total and even get to watch some of those sweet babies grow up! I wanted to also see the other side of helping families, the surrogacy side. My experience as a twice successful surrogate with Family Source Consultants has been above and beyond, AMAZING! FSC helped guide me and my intended parents through every step of our journey and made it so easy to focus on growing little miracles. The emotion that goes into surrogacy is never understated and the most incredible part of it all was seeing my intended parents’ faces when they finally held their baby in their arms. I found my ‘calling’ in egg donation and surrogacy and can’t thank FSC enough for helping me utilize my capability to help others create life.”
